Hunt Christmas

On Christmas Day we traveled back to K-zoo to have spend Christmas evening with the Hunts. Mom prepared a delicious meal for all of us.

Todd always bring so much laughter to the house when he's around.

Stella waiting patiently for the meal.

 Waylon  waiting too.

 Todd loved Mom's homemade rolls.

This year all the kids went in on a group gift for Mom and Dad. We got them a g.c. to Whispering Waters Bed and Breakfast in Traverse City.

Eisenga Christmas

Every year my Mom goes above and beyond the call for Christmas. She makes each one of us feel loved, prepares a delicious meal and gives each of the kids and grandkids stockings!

Connor loves his Momma!

Love them!

Stella has become a good reader and was excited to get this book!

The mess begins!!

Exciting to see my sister's baby bump growing. She's expecting in May.

Dad excited about his new sandblaster.

Our attempt this year at getting the grandkids with G&G! Connor doesn't like to get his picture taken unless his Mom is holding him !

Happy Connor!

So blessed to have these people in my life!!

Our Christmas

We always have celebrated our family Christmas before actual Christmas, due to traveling to have Christmas with our extended family. This year I focused on three things. 1. Peace...

2. Adore. I adore my children and I adore Christ the Lord. It has been great to read with my children about Baby Jesus's birth.

 3. Joy... I choose JOY! This year has brought much happiness, new beginnings, and some growing pains. That being said, I choose Joy!

I love my winter houses during Christmas time. My Mom hand painted each one of these.

So excited to get a picture of all the kids looking and smiling together!! Saturday the kids were able to attend 2 Easter egg hunts. More candy then Halloween I think!

Happy to say I also celebrated my 30 lb weight loss this past weekend. I've been working hard at it since November!! I also celebrated my 32nd birthday. The in laws watched the kids, while Q took me out to dinner and a movie. It was a great day.

Gotta have the silly face picture!

The Grange

Every year, Nick and his Mother Patricia, invite us out to the Grange on Lake Michigan where they vacation every year. Nick is one of Q's childhood and current friends.

The kids were loving the beach this year.

Family photo 2011!

It was Waylon's 1st time at the beach. He loved the sand.

He loved to pick up the rocks and sticks.
The kids loved getting buried in the sand.

Our 4th of July Recap

We had our annual 4th of July party at our house this year... twice. We partied Saturday, (50 people) and on Monday (40 people). It was so fun to hang out with our friends and their kids. We had a watermelon eating contest, canon ball contests for the kids and adults, magic show for the kids, etc. The weather was perfect.

Mike's face represented well what the end result was on everyone's face. He later learned that watermelon juice turns your face orange!!

Let Macy was so cute, helping her Mom out in the earlier picture and now scoping out the competition.

We went to the Richland parade where we saw cute cheerleader Larisa!!

We finished the 4th with some fireworks with friends.

How I Save..... And You Can Too!

The Holidays are approaching. Christmas music is playing in the stores along with Christmas lights and trees.

I LOVE Christmas. I love being with family and focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. I love serving and teaching my kids the importance of serving others.

I love shopping for gifts. I enjoy shopping for gifts even more when I can snag a great deal.  Here are a few things I do to help our family save some cash.

* Ebates.com   I signed up this spring. I received my 1st check in the mail last month! $50.00 extra in our pockets just for using their website to shop on line. No gimicks, no fees!

*Swagbucks.com. Search & Win

I use their search engine instead of Google. You get swagbucks for searching. You can earn gift cards or buy something at their store. I'm saving up my points to buy Amazon Gift cards.

I love coupons! I went to Kohl's this week. I was able to use Kohl's cash, in store credit and a 15% off coupon and saved over $91.00. I bought a pair of jeans, sweatshirt, sweater, and two tank tops for my sister all for $39.00!! Her jeans alone were $40.00

Did you know that Land's End and Kohl's have fantastic return policies? I'm a loyal costumer to both.

I follow money saving/ budgeting blogs. Here are two of my favorites.

HERE She has a lot of great Dave Ramsey advice.

HERE  Great testimonies of people who have learned how to save, etc.

I use our Discover Card to earn cash back. I can either get Gift Cards, or actual cash.

What do you use to save money? I'd love to hear any of your tips or ideas!

For "Crayon" Out Loud!

Well Valentine's came and went! We had a little party here at our house again and Gibson had a party in his class that afternoon. These cute little homemade Valentine's were all over blogger world. I decided to make them this year. If you want to do an activity that will consume time with your kids, this is it. They had so much fun peeling off the paper from the crayons and sorting which colors they wanted to go into the heart shaped silicone mold.

Here are our friends decorating sugar cookies. Stella and I made the sugar cookies and everyone brought frosting or sprinkles to decorate them.

Stella holding her photo frame they completed for craft time.

Christina enjoying her sugar cookie!

Boston enjoying a yummy strawberry!

Gibson at his school party. He had to count and sort his candy hearts.
