10 Months

I love this blue eyed, curly, crazy haired boy!

He is now taking on average 8 steps at a time before falling and crawling the rest of the way to his destination. His favorite toys are pots and pans, my fan (don't worry, it's unplugged), and boxes. Who needs toys? 

His hair is out of control! This was after putting product in it and after a morning nap. It's always frizzy after naps. 

He now says, Momma, and Dadda. He will put anything he finds on the floor in his mouth. He loves to bounce up and down to music. I love to watch him dance. 

He still takes two naps a day, and is sleeping through the night. 

He is in the very "busy" stage.

We love, love, him!!

The Tooth Fairy Has Been Called...

G-man lost his 1st tooth this morning! This was a pic seconds after it happened. The bus was waiting outside, so I only was able to take this shot. He didn't know how to adjust his lip so it would show, so my hubby held his lip down. I didn't even know his tooth was lose until yesterday when he came home from school and said his tooth was lose. Less than 24 hours later, it's out.

Before and After

This is our fireplace before the remodel. This was a pic taken a few years ago. It's the only pic I could find, showing the fire place as a whole. I have always wanted shelves on each side. So during Q's two week break he decided to tackle this project with the help of his brother and Dad.

 1st day. They had to build a fake wall. He also had to chisel out the crown molding and remove the mantel which was one big piece of slate.

2nd day. We put bead board up and did more electrical.

3rd day. We bought 4 - 42 inch cabinets and put those on the bottom to use for our DVD, Wii, and game storage. We made the shelving out of MDF board. 

4th day. The dry wall is hung between the shelves. We also used dry wall to frame in the fireplace. The mantel is made out of 2x4's and MDF board. 

Finished product!! We are so pleased with how it turned out. We removed the face plate and spray painted the inside of the fire place black. It isn't in working order, so now it serves as great storage for Waylon's toys.I love that all of our books are in one spot. The kids have been asking me to read to them more. 

A 1st for Stella!

Stella started Preschool yesterday. She rode the bus to school, and home from school. She had a fantastic day. She met new friends, liked her teacher and the most exciting part was she was able to feed her class pet Guinea Pig, Coco. Can believe she's old enough for Preschool. I'm looking forward to my mornings with just Waylon and I. It seems with him, I haven't been able to spend a whole lot of one on one time together.

It's Confirmed!

Waylon saw the E.N.T. on Friday, to get a conformation on a condition the pediatrician thought he might have. Since birth he has always been a loud breather. It sounds like he constantly has mucus in the back of his throat. It's more prominent when he is excited or sometimes sleeps.
They had to stick a scope down his nose to see his throat. I left the room. Daddy stayed in the room with him for support while the Doc, and nurse pinned him down for the 30 second procedure. I heard him cry in the waiting room and had to leave the office and wait outside. I hate the feeling of being helpless. I knew the procedure had to be done, and I knew he was in good hands. As soon as it was done, they came and got me. I held him in my arms, and in one minute he was fast asleep. I think it was harder on me than him! Thankfully, he'll have no memory of it.

Waylon has a condition called Laryngomalacia. You can click on the link and it will give you the information about it. Basically, he'll be noisy up until 18-24 months! He will have check ups every 3 months to make sure the cartilage in his larynx is hardening.
