Last week Q got a call saying that he got a raise. Yeah!! We are so excited, right? Well normally when you get a raise you see an increase in your check, correct?
Last weeks pay check was actually $7 less than normal. How can that be? He just got a raise. Well, we look at his pay stub, and they added the raise but then took it out again in the deductions. Huh??? So basically, he got a raise, so it looks like we make more only to be taxed more on top of having the raise taken out. What the world??
Needless to say, he contacted the company about this and they are so conveniently unavailable at this time to take his call. Then he got the spiel... leave a message and we'll return your call promptly. It's been 4 days people!!!
To be continued....................
WELL WE FIGURED IT OUT. THE HR DEPARTMENT SAID THAT EVERY QUARTER THEY TAKE OUT A CERTAIN AMOUNT FOR LONG TERM DISABILITY. AND COME TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY ADDED TO OUR PAY AT FIRST WASN'T EVEN THE RAISE.WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS. SO NOW, Q HAS TO CALL HIS BOSS TO GET HIS RAISE IN HIS NEXT CHECK. AT LEAST THE CONFUSION IS SOLVED AND HOPEFULLY WE'LL SEE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER IN HIS NEXT PAY CHECK!!!
