Rough

As Gibson was sitting on my lap this morning, he proceeded to get the wiggles. So much so that I got an elbow in the jaw. I told him, " You are too rough. Settle down." This is what he said: "Mom, I'm not rough like Golf." He plays the Wii Golf game. He continuely hits his ball in the rough. It was funny that he picked up on that.

Lessons Learned From a Trampoline....

I recently stepped foot on a trampoline. I haven't been on one for at least 6 years. I had one growing up and used it all the time. It was so much fun. I thought I'll give it a whill, and see if I can still do a flip. The owner of the trampoline warned me that I may want to go to the bathroom before I start jumping. " I'll be fine," I replied. These are the things I learned from my short time on the trampoline.

1. If another woman who has birthed kids says you should go to the bathroom before you get on, you should.

2. Power jumps are no good for the bladder.

3. A lot more things jiggle now then before I had kids.

4. Make sure a bathroom is close.

5. I can still do a flip!!!

Love My Stella

Stella with her beautiful Aunt Krisann!

Today Stella was being her cute self. I had to write a blog about what she said so I don't forget.

The 1st thing she said today as I was making cupcakes for Gibson's early birthday treat for school was, " Mom, I want to put the SPRINKLERS on the cupcakes." Oh man, did I laugh.

Then the 2nd thing she said, was when she was telling me one of her nightly stories, this is how it started: Once upon a time, there was an Ogar named Mom......

Two words: LOVE HER!

China

My ever so entertaining children were discussing there private parts with each other a couple of days ago. When are kids ask what they have and the difference between boys and girls we tell them the real name of their private parts: boys have a penis, and girls have a vagina.

This is how their conversation went: Stella: Gibby has a "peanut" and I have a "china."
Even though we tell them the correct name, they have their own spin on it. In return it gave us a great laugh!!

What's your opinion? Do you tell them the real name, or give them a different name for it?

What Do You Do in Your Spare Time??

Stella and I have been talking a lot about expressing emotions. While we were waiting for Gibson to get off the bus, I decided to snap a few pictures. I think she is doing pretty well expressing grumpy, silly, and happy!!
Yesterday I was able to meet little Miss Kanley!! What a perfect, precious child of God. Congrats Matt and Kristin. Babies are truly a miracle. Makes me have the itch for another!!

Too tall for His Britches!!

Gibson got off the bus today as usual. When we were walking up the driveway I noticed his pants were really short. Wait a second.... that's not what I put on him this morning. Well, he always keeps an extra set of clothes in his locker in case of accidents or spills. Today he spilled his milk on his pants and shirt. This is what he came home in. Mind you I sent this extra set with him last winter. I can't believe that in a short period of time he grew this much!!! I had to take a picture, this was too funny. ( I don't remember sending his p.j. top as an extra shirt either!!)

Gibsonisms

Gibson has said some really cute things the last couple of days:

Friday morning he was playing Mario brothers on my sister's Nintendo 2 and there was a level that had ghosts on it. This is what he said to me: " Mom I gotta beat the Holy Ghost level!"

He then went to get his hair cut and my cousin asks, "Gibson are you handsome?"
Gibson said, "No."
Lizelle: "Are you cute?"
Gibson, "No."
Lizelle: "What are you then?"
Gibson: "I rock!"
End of story!! My son rocks!!

Last night he was confused why the sun was still out when it was bed time. He looks out the window and says very seriously: "Sun you need to go to bed, the Moon needs to say hello!"

Billy Joely mad at me?

For quite some time we have been having trouble with Stella going #2 on the potty. She'll start to go, tell us when it's too late and then we'll usually end up changing her panties or throwing them out!!
Earlier in the day: Coming home from church we were listening to Billy Joel's Greatest Hits. Stella loves him! She loves to sing, "Up Town Girl," and "For the Longest Time."
This afternoon she had one of her accidents and very seriously looks at me and asks, " Is Billy Joely mad at me Mom?" Yes, Stella, Billy Joely is very sad and he says this is going on for the longest time!!!! ( I sang that sentence like the song!) We both got a laugh.

The thing is, she knows better. She just is lazy. She'll be 3 next month. These "accidents" have been happening for two months now. Last night when she had another accident we put her to bed an hour early. Obviously time outs, taking away privileges, early bedtimes, and telling her Elmo and Billy Joel are sad, are not effective ways of teaching her not to do that again.

I need your help. Got any ideas? Gibson was so much easier potty training than her!

Bird's Nest

I bought a bird's nest with three eggs in it for decoration on my mantle. Stella loves to grab it and talk about it. This is the conversation we had:

"Mom, I have the nest."
"Stella you shouldn't play with it."
"It's chemicals?"
"No, it's a decoration."
"Oh, it's a decracken?"
"Yes, a decoration."
"Yeah, a deegging. I'll put it back Mom."

I love to start my day off with a laugh.

Sincerely 'Fro Me to You, Re-Create

This morning Gibson and Stella were looking through our family book that I made through SnapFish. This is the picture they were looking at.
This is where I found them after looking at the book. They said, "Look Mom, just like the picture!" They were proud of themselves.

Supercalifragilisticexpiallidocious!

Last night I was sitting on the couch with Stella and I started singing the Mary Poppins song: Don't Go to Sleep. Stay awake, don't go to sleep, don't close your eyes..... she starts crying uncontrollably and says it's a scary song. It took her 15 minutes to calm down. I don't have the voice of Celine Dion but I can carry a tune! This morning I went on You Tube and had her watch that song to prove that it is not a scary song and Mary Poppins is good. She would not stay in the room. I then clicked on Supercalifragilisticexpiallidocious. That was the straw that broke the camel's back!! She started crying again!! What is wrong??? What am I going to do if I can't have: A Spoonful of Sugar? I love Mary Poppins. She loves to sing with me but for some reason really dislikes Mary Poppin's songs.

This was taken on Sunday. She was not impressed with me because I put pigtails in her hair.

Sincerely 'Fro Me to You: So Silly

This was Stella when she was about 3-4 months old. This picture represents the craziness of her hair back then. It would stick straight up every which way. Sorry about the quality of the picture, I didn't have it on file so I had to copy it.
This is my son, the entertainer. If you look in the background I was working out to my Power 90 DVD when he came out of the kitchen with this on his head!!! Too funny.

Need a Laugh?

My son likes cereal!! It is is favorite. You probably want to know why he's eating it off the floor. Well, he brought the box to me and asked for it. I said sure and he got so excited he lifted the box over his head and the top was open and it all came out!!

He learned to eat like that from his Papa. Papa eats popcorn very similar.

Caught Ya!

This is my sweet toothed Stella under her brother's bed yesterday. She is in love with ice cream and asks for it all of the time. I was busy with laundry and I noticed the freezer door was open and the silverware drawer was open. Hmmmmmmmm, where could she be? I couldn't get upset with her. She was just too cute. I also took a video of her that I'll post later.

Weekend Fun

Grandpa was patient enough to read the book Dick and Jane. Oh, Oh, Oh. Up, Up, Up. Down, down, down! The kids love this book. Thanks Heather for getting the book for my kids.
Sneaky Stella. Got into the toothpaste and Q-tips at Grandma's house.
Our soups cooking. We divided the Vegetable soup between the three of us. My Mom makes the best soups.
Cutting and chopping all the veggies for the soup.
Roasting homemade brats!!
We had a bonfire Friday night since it was such a beautiful night. The kids enjoyed eating smores and looking at the stars. I was lucky enough to see a shooting star.
My little Tinker Bell. She too had a lot of fun.
That's my Cowboy!!! He had so much fun trick or treating. After a couple of houses, he shouted, "I love it, I love this." It was so much fun to watch him be so happy and excited.
Gibson at painting a pumpkin at his classroom's Halloween party Friday morning. Painting is one of his favorite things to do.

Sincerely Fro' Me to You

This was a phase when Gibson called himself the Scary Monster. He was being potty trained at the time. He thought it was cooler to wear his underwear on his head rather then on his bottom like he should!!

Sincerely 'Fro Me to You

I thought I'd give this a shot. All of these women have so many clever stories and pictures to share. I know that I've posted this story before when I first started my blog, however, I thought that this is worth repeating. I have to laugh at myself every time I think about it.

I woke up one morning to find that the heating pad cord was wrapped around my neck. It wasn't tight so don't worry, I didn't wake up to myself choking!! Later that night as my husband and I were in bed reading our scriptures I said, "By the way, I woke up this morning and the heating cord was around my neck, but that's okay, it was turned off."

One of my many silly moments.
